Position Available: Zoning Administrator
The City of Richland Center is a vibrant community nestled in the heart of Wisconsin's Driftless Region. As we continue to evolve and develop, we are seeking a team-centric and experienced individual to join us as a Zoning Administrator.

Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for zoning inquiries, applications, and compliance within the city.
- Interpret and enforce zoning ordinances, codes, and regulations to ensure compliance with land use and development standards.
- Review zoning permit applications, site plans, and variance requests, assessing their conformity with zoning requirements and guidelines.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to verify compliance with zoning regulations and resolve any violations or discrepancies.
- Collaborate with city officials, Planning Commission, Board of Appeal, and other stakeholders to develop and update zoning ordinances and land use plans.
- Provide guidance and assistance to property owners, developers, and the public regarding zoning issues and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records, documentation, and reports related to zoning activities and enforcement actions.
Qualifications: Qualified candidates shall have any combination of training, education, and experience equivalent to graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s Degree in Planning, Urban and Regional Studies, Engineering, Architecture, Criminal Justice or closely related field. Valid Driver’s License required. Candidate must be available for duty beyond normal work day as required to attend public hearings or meetings related to the position.
Compensation: $29/hour (80 hours bi-weekly)

Benefit perks include a no deductible health insurance plan, emergency room visit reimbursement, and employer contributions of 6.9% to the Wisconsin Retirement System.
