Woodman Aquatic Center:

1. What are your hours?

On weekdays (Monday-Friday), we have adult only lap swim/water walking from 10:00am-12:00pm. For open swim, we are open throughout the week from 12:00pm-6:00pm. On Wednesdays, we have extended hours and are open until 8:00pm for open swim. We have a scheduled break each day from 3:00pm-3:30pm---there is no swimming allowed during this time.

2. What does it cost for a daily pass and do you refund?

For city residents, admission is $5 per person. For non residents (fire numbers, different towns, county residents, etc.), admission is $6. Children 3 and under are free. WE DO NOT REFUND FOR FECAL ACCIDENTS, EMERGENCIES, OR WEATHER-RELATED CLOSURES.

3. How tall do I need to be to go down the large, yellow slide?

You must be 48 inches, or 4 feet, tall to go down the slide. There are no exceptions to this rule as it is for patron's safety. Life jackets or puddle jumpers are also not allowed on the slide.

4. Can we bring our own food to the pool?

No, we have a full concessions stocked with many of your favorite things. We do not allow carry-ins besides water bottles. However, you are able to enter and exit the facility at your own will. This allows you to find a spot outside of the pool for food of your own.

5. Can I use a credit/debit card?

You can pay with credit/debit cards at the front desk for daily admission and pool passes. Please note, there is a slight service fee associated with cards usually ranging from $1.50-$6.00, and it must be a physical card, no phone tapping. The concessions stand is cash only. Checks are accepted at both the front desk and concessions.

6. Am I allowed to bring my own lawn chair to sit on?

Of course! Lawn chairs are invited into our facility. The grass areas of our facility are often not utilized. Bringing your own seating would be a great option for those sections!

7. Why are we being asked to shower before entering the water?

When people do not shower before entering the water, sweat, dirt, poop, and all sorts of other bodily functions are released into the water. Water-borne illnesses and diseases can also be spread through the water and showering helps to mitigate potential spread. Showering also helps to keep our pH levels in a safe zone. Please do your part and shower before swimming!

8. If my child wants to use the diving board and swim in the 12ft area, what do they need to do?

Have them tell the lifeguard in the deep end that they would like to take the deep water test. The test consists of swimming the width of the pool twice demonstrating proficient front crawl or breaststroke technique. Following the swimming test, swimmers will need to tread water for 60 seconds while keeping their mouth and nose above water.

9. Can we bring in toys, such as beach balls, footballs, or diving rings?

We do not allow beach balls, footballs, or water balls at our facility as they often hit other patrons. The only ball allowed is the basketball that we provide. However, diving rings are allowed and are the responsibility of the patron to keep track of. If diving rings are being thrown at others, they will be asked to be put away.

10. If I have a question or concern, who should I go to?

Our facility has both head lifeguards and a pool manager. The head lifeguard will be marked by a navy blue rescue tube and the pool manager can usually be found wearing a navy blue lifeguard shirt or suit. These are your best bets to resolve any potential issues. Though, any of our pool staff should be able to help you out!
